(DSSL) has recruited a Head of Finance for the largest and most diverse food company in Sudan focused on providing affordable, basic, staple foods and drinks for mass consumption. The Company has its presence across the Middle East & Sudan with its specialization in the FMCG vertical.

Our client had given us the mandate to identify a leader to help them lead the financial planning, management, and control function and provide strategic direction for their Food Division. This person would be a qualified CA with multi-faceted experience in Strategy & Planning, Operations & Accounting, Treasury Management, Investor Relations, Financial Audit & Control and also People Management.

DSSL researched a broad spectrum of candidates across leading FMCG Companies globally as well as in India. After an intensive engagement with several candidates, DSSL presented a highly qualified professional who was the Group CFO at a Five Star Hotel Group in Cairo, Egypt. He had prior experience in Africa and was heading the Finance Function for a Group headquartered in Tanzania with group companies in Zambia, Uganda, Mozambique and Ghana. He was pivotal in steering the finance function, leading large teams for accounting, finance and commercial. He also managed project financing, debt restructuring, statutory reporting and compliance requirements; while supervising all commercial negotiations in Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) procurement and business acquisition proposals.
