Datamatics Staffing Services Limited hires a Chief Operating Officer for the India Entity of a European Client

Datamatics Staffing Services Ltd. (DSSL) has recruited a Chief Operating Officer for the India Entity of a European Client engaged in the manufacturing of specialised products in industrial power transmission and light conveyor belting.

Our client wished to appoint a Chief Operations Officer who would be reporting administratively to the India MD with a matrix reporting to the Operations and Technical Heads in Europe. His/her responsibilities include heading the functions of – Production, Maintenance, Quality, Purchase, R&D, and Logistics. The preference was to hire an experienced candidate from a MNC in the Automotive Components/ Industrial Components sectors with prior experience in rubber based components. Since the candidate would be a probable successor of the current MD, he/she was expected to have Client facing and P&L management experience besides leadership qualities.

DSSL explored the talent pool of leading Auto Ancillary / Rubber companies in South India and narrowed its focus to one highly qualified professional working for one of the leading Auto Components companies in the country. In addition to his experience in Business Development, Operations, Strategic Planning, Global Outsourcing, Production Management, Tool Design, and Product Design, the candidate also has 25+ years of proven experience with multinational companies in India and abroad. This candidate has joined our client recently.
